Jinming Duan is now a Research Associate within Department of Computing & Department of Imaging Science of the Institute of Clinical Science at Imperial College London. Previously, he acquired both of his undergraduate and master degrees in Computer Science. Later, he went on studying a PhD in Computer Science, which involved a range of interdisciplinary projects collaborated with the School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham, and the Ophthalmology Department at the University of Leicester. His PhD was funded by the School of Computer Science at the University of Nottingham.
Jinming’s research interests include deep neural networks, variational methods, partial/ordinary differential equations, numerical optimisation, and finite difference/element methods, with applications to image processing, computer vision and medical imaging analysis. His work has appeared across multiple application publications, including proceedings such as MICCAI, and journals such as IEEE Transaction on Medical Imaging, IEEE Transaction on Image Processing, Pattern Recognition, Physics in Medicine and Biology, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, PloS ONE, Journal of Mathematical Imaging and Vision, Journal of Global Optimization, etc. Moreover, he is a regular peer reviewer for more than 20 reputable journals.
