ABSTRACT:Data-driven culture has come and there is no limit to where big data analytics can improve

efficiency and quality of healthcare. We will discuss some opportunities and challenges of big

data analytics in healthcare. A few examples of applying big data analytics in healthcare will be

discussed.

Biotech and pharmaceutical industry is one of the healthcare domains where big data analytics is

and will be making innovative impacts. We will briefly discuss some aspects of new drug

development processes and collaborations between drug development companies and other

healthcare / research organizations.
