Abstract: The {\L}ojasiewicz inequality reveals a fundamental relation between a potential and its gradient near its critical point, and provides a tool to analyze the convergence of a trajectory for a gradient system. In this talk, we will briefly introduce the {\L}ojasiewicz inequality in finite-dimensions and  its applications in Kuramoto type models.
